Welcome to the new version of Toni Collette Online. As the site has been fully converted to a mobile-friendly version, I’ve taken the opportunity to give the site, once again, a fresh new look. It’s also part of my anticipation for 2017, with 11 (!) new projects being released. Toni Collette will be seen in 9 feature films, including the comedy “Fun Mom Dinner”, hitting new territory opposite Vin Diesel in “XXX3: The Return of Xander Cage”, the anticipated adaptation of “Jasper Jones” and starring with Harvey Keitel in the French comedy drama “Madame”. There’s also a new leading role in a television series, ABC’s upcoming “Unit Zero”. For a complete look at all upcoming projects, have a look at the sidebar. So, there’s a lot to look forward to, and what better way to do this with a new look, Therefore, enjoy your stay and check back soon.
Welcome to the brand new version of Toni Collette Online. The new look also marks this year’s 10th anniversary of Toni Collette Online, which is exciting and unbelievable at the same time. In 2005, after many years of collecting and thinking about creating a website for Toni Collette, I gave it a go in 2005. The opening came just in time with the theatrical release of “In her Shoes”, which I wouldn’t count among my personal favorites, but which proved to be a commercial success and ultimately lead to all the great things that followed in the past 10 years – “Little Miss Sunshine”, “United States of Tara”, an array of fantastic leading and supporting roles on film, television and the theatre, not to mention a music tour. The best thing of all? It’s all here! It feels like a great privilege to cover such an interesting and diverse career of a truly remarkable artist. Here’s to the next 10 years. My most sincere thanks to everyone who’s written and contributed material during this time, it has been very appreciated. While the site has been updated completely, the filmography pages have been left out for now, since I plan to give this important section a much-needed overhaul. So, for now, enjoy browsing and keep checking back.
In September 1994, a small Australian film called “Muriel’s Wedding” became a critical and audience favorite that quickly made its transition to European and American cinemas and pathed the way for its unknown star to launch a successful international career. To celebrate the film’s 20th anniversary, let’s have a look at its road to success and its lasting impact for everyone involved. A special page has been created for the film with background information, video clips from the film’s promotion and a “Where are they now?” section for its key cast members. Enjoy a trip down memory lane!
