At long last, I’m very happy to finally provide an in-depth coverage on Toni’s most recent series “The Power”, which aired last March on Prime Video. Adapted by Naomi Alderman’s feminist sci-fi book, Toni joined the series late into the party, as its production was heavily impacted by the pandemic and original star Leslie Mann dropped out. Collete re-shot her scenes over a period of five weeks. “The Power” premiered to positive reviews, although some critics mentioned the difficulty in bringing Alderman’s complex novel to life. Since Prime Video didn’t release rating numbers for their productions, it is unclear how well it was received by audiences, but it’s fair to say it probably flew under the radar. On Saturday, Toni Collette attended an in-person FYC event in Los Angeles hosted by Prime Video to promote the recently released “The Power”, which Prime is boosting for Emmy consideration. This week, Toni Collette has been busy promoting the show in the United States, with appearances on the aforementioned “Live with Kelly and Ryan” as well as “Good Morning America” and “Sherri”.
