Toni Collette Expecting Her First Child
Toni Collette has played a mom in everything from About a Boy to Little Miss Sunshine. Now, she’s ready for the real deal.
The 34-year-old Australian actress confirmed Monday that she’s expecting her first baby with husband Dave Galafassi, a musician.
“We’re very happy. We’re completely over the moon,” she said, according to the Associated Press.
“It is strange, the last three films I’ve done I have been pregnant,” Colette added. “I’m just like, what is the universe trying to tell me? But I think everything happens when it’s meant to.”
Collette, who played the mother of the lovable dysfunctional family in Sunshine and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Sixth Sense, appeared Saturday at the Sydney edition of Live Earth with her band, the Finish, which features Galafassi on drums.
The couple were married in a Buddhist ceremony four years ago.
