Toni gets technical
Aussie actor Toni Collette admits she’s not too tech-savvy.
But the In Her Shoes star yesterday strutted a red carpet of a different kind to help launch Telstra BigPond’s new movie download service at Dendy Cinema, Circular Quay.
The video service allows users to download full length feature films, TV shows, sport and short films to be viewed on their PCs or laptops – something Collette thinks is good for the film industry.
“It widens your audience,” she said. “Life and technology are constantly changing. This will give people even easier access to films and because it’s legal it’s good for people like me.”
Collette said she was an avid internet user herself.
“I’m not too tech-savvy. I use it mainly for e-mails,” she said.
And she’s got plenty of time on her hands to get online – with no work planned for the near future she’s content to hang out at her Bellevue Hill pad and play with her puppy.
