A couple of weeks after the first look at “Tammy”, the first full theatrical trailer has been released. We get more action, more McCarhy and first scenes with Susan Sarandon. The only drawback? Still no look at Toni. I guess it’s safe to say she’s only having a small/cameo part as a favor to director Ben Falcone, who’s played her husband in “Enough Said”. Here’s the synopsis on the trailer’s release: This July 4th, “Tammy” is taking a trip to Niagara Falls and it’s going to be a (hilariously) bumpy ride. “Tammy,” an outrageous new comedy starring Melissa McCarthy and shot in Wilmington early last summer, has released a full theatrical trailer that gives a first look at the film’s road trip story. An earlier teaser trailer focused on one scene where McCarthy attempts to rob a fast food joint. In the film, out July 2, the “Bridesmaids” star plays Tammy, a down-on-her-luck woman who decides to take a road trip her hard-partying grandmother (Sarandon) after losing her job and her husband. Kathy Bates, Allison Janney, Sandra Oh, Dan Aykroyd, Toni Collette, Gary Cole and Mark Duplass costar. McCarthy’s husband, Ben Falcone, directs.
