“Mental” has been released on DVD in various European countries (instead of a theatrical release), so there was finally a chance to see P.J. Hogan’s reunion with Toni Collette, almost twenty years after “Muriel’s Wedding”. The similarities stop here already, “Mental” is, as described by one reviewer, like Mary Poppins on acid – which is quite fitting. Look out for a personal review in the career section.
