Here are some stellar news, if true, according to Variety. Fox is currently in negotiations with Toni Collete, Danny Huston, Michael Stuhlbarg and Michael Wincott to play various characters within the film “Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho” (working title), which already features Anthony Hopkins as Hitchcock, Helen Mirren as his wife, Scarlett Johanssen as Janet Leigh and James D’Arcy as Anthony Perkins. If they do sign on we can expect to see Collette as Hitchcocks assistant Peggy Robertson (the woman who first brought Robert Blochs book to the masters attention) and Wincott as Ed Gein the infamous serial killer on whom the book was based. A collaberative script by various writers (including Ivan Reitman) is already in place, so let’s hope shooting on this fascinating picture starts soon. I have my fingers crossed.
