Lots of additional information and pictures on Toni’s theatre work has been added to the site. Besides the most recent “The Realistic Joneses” and her Tony-nominated in 2000’s “The Wild Party”, Toni has appeared in a number of plays in the late 1980s and early 1990s, first with the Australian Theatre for Young People, then with the Sydney Theatre Company. The career pages have been all updated with insightful information and lots of rare pictures have been added to the photo gallery.

Toni is currently promoting the theatrical release of “Lucky Them” in New York. It’s great to see that this small film gets a deserving spotlight in the media. Current appearances have included an interview on the Today Show and the aforementioned Watch What Happens Live! (unfortunately there’s only an excerpt since the full appearances hasn’t made its way online yet). There’s also a news segment from April, A New York Minute with Jill Martin, a scene from Lucky Them, a commercial for The Realistic Joneses, and an interview that Toni did for Concern Worldwide in 2012. According to Playbill, The Broadway premiere of playwright Will Eno’s The Realistic Joneses, which stars Michael C. Hall, Toni Collette, Marisa Tomei and Tracy Letts, will close on Broadway July 6, producers announced May 20. The production, which officially opened April 6 at the Lyceum Theatre, will have played 27 previews and 105 performances when it ends its run. The Broadway engagement was not billed as a limited run; however, tickets had only been on sale through July 6. “The Realistic Joneses” earned Drama Desk Award, Drama League Award and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations, but was overlooked by the 2014 Tony Award nominating committee.

The cast of “The Realistic Joneses” and its creator, Will Enos, have been honored with a Drama Desk Special Award, which recognizes excellence and significant contributions to the theater. The honor is given to Enos and the casts of both the “Joneses” and Off-Broadway’s “The Open House” “ror two extraordinary casts and one impressively inventive playwright”. Toni has attended their nominees reception in New York. Pictures can be found in the image library.
